Postdoctoral positions in cell death and pathogen-host interactions

Several postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Zhiwei Huang’s laboratory at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China.

Our research interests focus on the mechanisms of pathogen-host interactions, with particular interest in identifying and characterize the regulators and signal transduction events involved in cell death during pathogen infection. We are also interested in studying the molecular mechanisms of CRISPR-Cas systems. We use multi-disciplinary approaches including structural biology, virology, cell biology, and mouse models in our studies.

Candidates should hold a PhD with a background in one or more of the following areas: cell biology, pyroptosis, immunology, genome editing, mouse models and/or a related field. Experience in immune cell culture and GPCR biology are highly desirable, as is a background with handling viruses.
